Máirín is a Speech Language Pathologist and Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia. She loves working with people of all ages and has a particular passion for supporting children in early childhood and primary school, while also valuing her work with adolescents and families.
Máirín has a special interest in literacy development, speech sound disorders and language. She has completed training in Sounds‑Write (an evidence based literacy program), Shape Coding (supporting sentence structure and grammar) and Hanen More Than Words (a family-centred program supporting social communication for children with ASD).
She values a warm, family‑centred and collaborative approach to therapy and is committed to providing evidence‑based practice that is meaningful for each child and their family. She loves making sessions fun and engaging, and enjoys incorporating each child’s interests to help build confidence, connection and motivation.
Máirín works at the Nambour clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and at the Kawana clinic on Thursdays and Fridays.
