Libby is a passionate Speech Pathologist with an interest in many areas including language, speech, literacy, and social skills. Libby is a strengths-based therapist and takes pride in being particularly focused on the way she approaches interactions. Libby approaches new participants by providing frequent praise to support rapport and engages in conversations about the participant’s interests to support motivation for more challenging activities.
Libby is invested in facilitating meaningful connection and creating a positive relationship. She is passionate about accessible communication for all and believes in supporting quality of life through communication. Some recent professional development areas have been: DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing) and understanding phonological processing by using the CTOPP (Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing – Second Edition) as per research completed at the Florida Center for Reading Research.
