Katie enjoys working with children of all ages, and their families. She has a professional background in teaching and pediatric nursing and has worked in a broad range of settings in the community and hospital environments.
Katie is focused on supporting all children to develop skills and an increased understanding of their personal strengths and abilities. She has a special interest in neurodevelopmental disorders.
Katie has a friendly and welcoming personality and her therapy approach focuses on supporting clients and their carers to work towards identified goals. Therapy sessions are strengths-based and aim to be engaging and fun. Clients are encouraged to challenge themselves, in a safe and supported environment, to build confidence and the skills required for increased independence.
