Alia loves her work with children, teenagers and young adults. She strives to make her sessions engaging and rewarding for all her clients. We all learn best when we are having fun.
Alia values family-centred practice and believes in considering the whole child and their family context when developing their goals. She enjoys working together with other therapists, as well as educators, family members and any other member of a client’s support team to help meet their goals. Alia also firmly believes in the principles informing neurodiversity theory and implements this in her practice.
Alia is a certified practitioner of Sounds-Write (a phonics-based literacy program) and is a certified Lego Based Therapy Facilitator. She enjoys working across all many areas of speech pathology practice, while maintaining high standards of evidence-based practice.
When she’s not at work, Alia enjoys reading books and playing board games.
